Second person has come forward. A young person has told BBC News they felt threatened by the BBC presenter at the centre of a row over payment for sexually explicit photos. The individual in their early 20s was first contacted anonymously by the male presenter on a dating app. They say they were put under pressure to meet up but never did. When the young person hinted online they might name the presenter, they were sent abusive, expletive-filled messages. Speaking to BBC News, the young person - who has no connection to the person at the centre of the Sun's story about payments for photos - said they had been scared by the power the presenter held. They said the threats made in the messages had frightened them - and they remain scared. The new allegations of menacing and bullying behaviour by the high-profile presenter raise fresh questions about his conduct. BBC News has contacted the presenter directly and via his lawyer but has received no response to the latest allegations.
The Police were also contacted in April. Before they went to the BBC and then The Sun. It looks like the actions of desperate parents, to me.
I was gobsmacked today when the BBC Director General or whoever he was, said we need to learn lessons. Like wtf, Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris, Stuart Hall, Gary Glitter all on the BBC's watch, weren't they big enough lessons ffs.
I bet you everyone of those that I've named above denied it when originally challenged, and the first thing they try and do is the same as happened yesterday, discredited any witnesses or claims. This is why people like Saville got away with it for so long. Even Schofield at ITV, didn't he deny and lie to his colleagues originally about what was going on?
Why was it, I thought one of the claims at least was in a BBC dressing room, also he must have appeared on ToTP a BBC programme plenty of times, using his fame to commit his crimes. Even if you want to defend them against that **** all the other celebrity crimes were linked while employed with the BBC. Edit: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...er-raped-girl-13-stars-BBC-dressing-room.html
I repeat they have a statue outside bbc by a self confessed abuser of children including his own two daughters….like really are people that ignorant that they don’t connect the two as symbolic to the cult
the others were employed on shows made by the BBC but Glitter just appeared on them as he did on shows made for other channels and i made no attempt to defend of the sex offenders and struggle to see how you read that from my post .
You said blaming the BBC was pushing it - it happened in a BBC dressing room, so I'm not sure how that is 'pushing it' if it happened. Anyway my point was after all these events at the BBC, why do they still need to learn lessons about complaints, they should have it off to a fine art by now.
If this proves to have happened again, and I reiterate 'IF' then they need to close this organisation down or at the very least make it fund it's own way. It makes me think MET Police & BBC you've got to be asking questions how deep is all this.
the questions have already been answered dude…pity for the masses the journalists researchers whistleblowers and witnesses are classed as fruit cakes and conspiracy theorists
It's the reason why they get away with it for so long, people are either scared of speaking out, or if they do, someone will try and discredit them. That's why it's so prolific, even this time, this is been going on since April in the complaint stage, either to the police or the BBC. Even if it was May, we are getting on for two months ago now - the pictures either exist or they don't. But as per, the finger will be pointed at social media to blame, discredit anthing and anyone to make it go away. 3 months they've had to deal with this ffs.
I met with the mother of one our kids whose father died of a heart attack on Friday. He had a heart condition. They were separated but amicable enough. He had just visited her and was leaving to go home. He'd complained of a pain in his arm. She wanted to call an ambulance but he wouldn't have it so she called a cab to go home. He left and said he'd wait outside and left. A few phone calls between them as the cab hadn't turned up so he must've walked up the road. He had a heart attack, collapsed by the road, found moments later by a couple of passers by. They called an ambulance. Mum came out to realise what had happened and was in hysterics. The ppl who had found him consoled her and took her back inside. Some time between having his heart attack and being found he'd had his mobile and wallet stolen.
