Yeah saw that, what is it with lowlifes opening up firearms in the street. Drive-by shooting attacking a funeral by the sounds of it. Hopefully they catch the scum and throw away the key.

As a country have we really stooped this low, that criminals now start shooting innocent members of the public, which includes kids. Can't they sort their differences out in some isolated spot, where then they will be welcome to blow each others brains out.

Time to split up the Met and that unit, smaller units for more accountability, flush these fookers out.

 

When you say split it up how do you mean exactly?

Like separate police independent of each other for each London borough?

 

Yes is the short answer, an idea I saw was split it up into four units, I can't really suggest more than that, because I don't know how many borough's it covers and what the population per borough is, so it would mean studying lots of stats and stuff. My thoughts are the bigger the force, the more likely the corruption will exist, the smaller the unit, the easier it is to be more specific and identify the source of corruption and easier to maintain accoutability per unit.

 

one problem is the smaller the unit the more likely they are to know the person involved and therefore takes their side .

 

It can't be any worse then it currently is - I'd go in there rip the fooking arse out of the MET, but that's just me. It's clear there is no controls in place, to have two serious criminals in the same unit and the same force, go undetected or unpunished says all we need to know about the place. One maybe unfortunate, two damn right careless.

 

the Met has been notorious since i was a lad . My best man was a copper and he despised the met not helped when a couple of them tried stitching him and the local lad he was visiting with a street robbery He let them crap on for a while before he got bored and pulled out his warrant card

It's going to be full of bad apples, I just can't see how they are going to flush them all out, because you can be certain someone of senior level is covering stuff up. These two cops were left to commit offence after offence without recourse.

How are old bill not regularly checked?

People who work with kids, the elderly and disabled have to be checked EVERY 3 years and EVERY time they change jobs.

And because of Ian Huntley (the scum who killed those 2 little United fans in 2002) more than one allegation (proven or not) in a short period by unconnected people is a serious red flag and can cause you to fail.

Personally I agree with this and have no problem having to do it.

But how are old bill treated differently

Loads of jobs you have to be checked these days, even if you aren't actually working with vulnerable people directly. Any gaps in employment having to be explained in detail, so like you it beggars belief, how this has all gone unnoticed, absolute jokes. I have no trust in them now whatsoever, nor should anyone else.
