Gotta say, this is turgid stuff,if this was Australia or New Zealand they'd be taking this attack apart!Paul Collingwood is the Scottish fielding coach, why is one of the best fielders ever, not involved in the England set up?A terrier of a cricketer and captain when we won the 20/20 World Cup,it's mind boggling!
Piers Morgan's having a go at Eoin Morgan (any relation?) over the national anthem. Gary Lineker gets in on it too! http://www.independent.ie/sport/oth...-not-singing-the-english-anthem-31014236.html
According to his wiki page he was born Piers Stefan O'Meara in that well known Irish town of Newick in East Sussex, although his father was from Co Offley.......
He's an awful eejit Tramore. Half the Americans want to lynch him due to the TV show he has over there. I can see why Jeremy Clarkson stuck the nut on him
He has a high opinion of himself and takes himself far too seriously..........that reminds me have too add him to the random irritations thread.....
England should have a different anthem to the UK anyway. I'd play the theme from Where Eagles Dare instead. No lyrics required.
Although we won I thought it unimpressive, bell looked nervous & could have got out on many occasions, par score should have been at least 350.
Another great win for Ireland today. They have a really good chance of qualifying now - Pakistan are sweating.
Ireland didn't make it easy for themselves, looking forward to watching the highlights this evening.......
Well done Ireland, reportedly the best match of the tournament to date. It would be great if the Irish do qualify with reports that the ICC are to cut the number of teams down to ten at the next World Cup. An Irish success in qualifying would make that decision look silly...
Have to say Soops the Associate teams have given a good showing thus far and it is simply gives out the wrong message to the smaller sides, it's as if to say we don't want you, we don't need you........It gives them no encouragement to better themselves.
Tramore, I seen this written today. What does it mean? "It is a telling statistic that in World Cup history, teams have only successfully chased more than 300 runs on five occasions. Ireland is responsible for three of them." Does that mean Ireland are good at coming back at teams or something?
