Just chatting to my ex boss who is a cricket freak. He said you could’ve put the 11 best test batsmen from the last 40 Years on that pitch and they’d struggle to make 200! To a point so agree with the attacking intent sometimes need reigning in. But when one of the best batsmen of all time gets done by a spinner, it’s always going to be hard work!
Yeah, take the point mate. Not sure I'd agree with your ex boss, there was so much time left....we didn't need to force it. Just knock the bad ball, leave the others.

How do you leave them when most are hitting the stumps? Not sure I saw many bad balls either this morning

Mmm...maybe leave wasn't the right word...perhaps I meant knocking down the good ball and looking to score off the bad.
Intelligent batting was what I had in mind.
So,a day and a half....what 130 overs...to get 250....2 an over.

Be over in 3 days. Pakistan 30 overs and only used 2 bowlers. Says it all.
Anyway we are top of the league so, Meh.
Strange post. We won the toss! There's a reason why it's called a Test Match.
They must surely know that reverse sweeps and other cross bat shots, don't cut it on a wicket like this.

Whys it strange? Any wicket that spins this much on the morning of day 1, in my very humble opinion, is not fit as a test wicket. Usually, on a morning 4 bowlers are used. Not required today.
