Bazball was supposed to be exciting and fast. Exciting for the Indians and fast towards defeat.
This series has been frustrating I guess a 4-1 defeat is probably what was expected but we've been in good positions in most of the tests and then just crumbled. We've had good days and we've had good sessions but we've them backed them up with 2 bad days or 2 bad sessions. Yes India played well in patches but we didn't half help them over the line at times.
It's the end of the beginning...
We are on the path to the Bazball series finale, a crescendo to a sporting story played out in real time. The challenge for England is to make it like Ross getting with Rachel in Friends, or David Brent telling Finchy to do one at the end of The Office. What we don't want is the nonsense ending to Sherlock, or the underwhelming reveal of Buckells as the fourth man in Line of Duty.
How England evolve under Stokes and McCullum has always been the most fascinating part of the narrative. The summer of 2022 was exhilarating, but they cannot always be remembered for that, like a band that never managed to top its first album.

Really good start for them back where they belong. Bedingham is a top signing. Hopefully Stokes gets some game time as well. Watched a bit of the match against Worcestershire today and they were quality.
