Eerr make it the umpires call like they do with a change of ball. I feel it's such an unnecessary delay when they've already missed nearly 4hrs of cricket today.

Like I said before, the number one priority should be about getting a result.
So, because England need as much time as possible to win, the umpires should deny them and the Aussies a break after an hour's play? Not sure anyone would agree to that.

I largely agree that cricket doesn't help itself with it's inflexibility around lunch/tea/close of play - watching them walk off at 6.30pm when you have at least an hour's sunlight left is very frustrating

I'm not arguing it in favour of England. It's as if the game can't adapt to the times and conditions.

Football has introduced a water break when the temperature hits a certain level. Surely cricket can do the opposite when the conditions are so poor.

Let's celebrate the wicket!!

Forecast saying there will be no more rain today (well not until after the close). Can the light improve, or at least stay good enough for spin?
Met Office saying tomorrow is as bad, if not worse than today

No way are we playing until 7.30 tonight. I doubt we’ll see 6pm before it’s stopped for bad light or rain.

I’m getting a different forecast to you. Mine is saying it should be fine for the last two sessions tomorrow.

Never know mind, and if depends which forecast is accurate, but it's looking like it could be a miracle victory only.

New ball tomorrow though, so all hope not gone if they can get out there .

Two Aussies in this innings refusing to walk despite ball hitting bat. Every second counts I suppose, but he has nothing to lose, over to England to review and waste vital seconds. Same old Aussies.....

Walking is an interesting concept in cricket. The umpire is there to make the decision and I've heard of a player nicking off, walking and being recalled by the Umpire telling him "Get back to your crease, I didn't give you out"

Of course, the optics on the Aussies and the "fairness" in their play ever since SandpaperGate, then you have Smith claiming catches he grassed, Starc bitching about catches he dropped and some of them not walking and you wonder which side of the moral fence they are sitting on.

For me. I love the pantomime element of all of this - the mock appeals from the crowd when one of our batters middles it are hilarious, but I also love Broad and Bairstow's rage at the Carey incident.

We aren't supposed to like the Aussies and they aren't supposed to like us. I like it that way
