Australia well ahead with favourable conditions to the bowling side.

I don't even think the Aussies are that good. We have been below par ( compared to last 18 months) in Ashes up to now.
It's a tough watch today.

Off topic...what was that umpire with the crooked finger called? He must have retired?

Not looking good for Ollie Pope as he's still off the field. Just hope he can bat...even if it's further down the order to give him a bit longer to rest his injury...

Best we can hope for is a draw. I would take a draw then do them at Headingly.
Bit too early for all that. We could easily skittle them for 350 in the morning (they could equally easily stick another 300 on the board :emoticon-0140-rofl:)

Always best to judge when both teams have batted

They always say don't judge till both teams have batted.
But how come when they bat I never feel like we will take a wicket and when we bat I think we will lose a wicket every single ball lol

It's called being a Sunderland supporter and always expecting the worst :emoticon-0140-rofl:

FWIW I thought we were really flat today. Jimmy looks miles off the pace, Robinson bowling 78Mph is no good and these bloody no-balls smacks of us being undercooked.
A week playing golf maybe wasn't the best preparation for the toughest series in cricket.
