Excellent innings from Bethel, orthodox and controlled. He looks an excellent player and is apparently very grounded.
I hope he delivers more, but it shows how shallow our talent pool is when our No 3 batsman in an Ashes test has never scored a first class century…until today. Not his fault of course, he’s played less than 30 proper games.
I fully expect Bethel to be your number 3 for the next 10 years

Finally.. 4-1 series win. Should have been closer but poor preparation and tactics from England particularly early in the series. Starc and Head outstanding along with Carey. Root finally showed his class out here which was great for us to see. Bethel is the find of the series.
Ozzie, you pretty much said all as l'll was going to say ........... well said.
Would of like to seen it closer but happy for the win & the series.

Poor preparation by England and too many not justifying their selection. I hope the ECB learn from their mistakes. Take nothing away from Australia, they were the deserved winners of the Ashes.

Brilliant innings from England in Sri Lanka in the deciding ODI. Root and Brook both getting to 100. Currently 333-3 after 48.4 overs. The first time England have got to 300 in Sri Lanka in this format.
