Just watched some highlights. Some pretty poor bowling on a slowish pitch, did well to get eight wickets. I reckon if our batsmen run true to form we’ll get 250, with lots of chasing shots.

The company that owns 'Snicko' has admitted that operator error led to Carey being incorrectly given not out when he was on 72.

Think I'd rather be in Australia's position with runs on the board.... England will need to bat 5 sessions to get 500+ to put pressure on Aussies 2nd innings.... not sure that's likely to happen....
As for snicko..... words fail me.... 3 errors all in Aussies favour..... as if they didn't need any assistance to win.....

It is understood the sound used for the review was taken from the stump microphone at the bowlers' end, rather than the strikers' end.

Well done guys. You had one job.

Carey himself said he thought he’d hit it. I don’t blame him for not walking then if given not out, but it would be nice if, in these circumstances, he decided not to continue his innings tomorrow.

Of course this won’t happen, as it wouldn’t if the same thing happened to an English batter.

Might take a little heat off Stuart Broad, who's working for Channel Seven.

I think it would be a nice touch if they declared overnight or gifted England some extras at the start of the innings. They won’t and I don’t blame them. It’s not their fault.

Quite different though. Broad didn’t walk and Aus had used their appeals. England rightly appealed this. I think the idea of walking now we have the tech and appeal system is archaic.

No doubt Carey was out but the sound coming from further away doesn't make sense either as snicko showed it up before the footage. Bizarre
We haven't got enough runs on the board 400 minimum on this wicket for par. If you guys can apply yourselves you'll get a good lead. Was good to see Archer have a crack from the off as he's a weapon when he has a go.
It'll be bloody hot there today (39-40 degrees) so you should be able to work our bowlers over.
