Outstanding performance. Many teams would have been playing for a draw after Pakistan’s first innings, but the essence of Bazball seems to be always playing to win, and didn’t it pay off here!

Stokes said he would never play for a draw, and that's been borne out. The only draw England have had since he took over as captain was when rain washed out the final day of the Ashes Test at Old Trafford.

Phenomenal win for England. To concede over 550 runs and still win by an innings is mind blowing, and something I don't expect to ever see again !

Reasonable effort to bowl Pakistan out for 366 and our batters make the customary fast start.

Hopefully a lead of 100 on first innings, currently 116-1.

Well done Ben Duckett......

Again England showing the benefit of scoring at 5 an over compared to Pakistan's under 3 an over.....

Duckett's quite an ugly player, but very effective, especially against spin. Fourth Test hundred and averaging 43, which are pretty decent stats.

Ohhhh Root & Duckett gone in quick succession...... Brook also gone....

Game changed in space of a couple of overs.....

Always heartening to see we still have a good old fashioned collapse in us ! Got to try and get parity now and limit them to a chasable total. Pakistan well in the box seat at the moment with us having to bat last.

Here in Oz, the build up for the Ashes is starting, for which l can’t wait.

Ahhhh, loved the pitch reports that Tony Greig would present. Never forget him losing his Land Rover key down a crack! Marvellous stuff, that. He was excellent value both on the pitch & on the commentary team. Sadly missed.
