Pakistan have just beaten The Netherlands by 81 runs. It was a much better match than I'd anticipated with the Dutch bowling and fielding well, but their batting faded at the back end of the innings and at one point I thought they could make it.

India v Australia on Sunday should be tasty, see England v Bangladesh on Tuesday starts at 5.30am our time ! Marvelous

Not impressed by Pakistan.

Just been looking at the fixtures. At one or two games a day in this format the thing is going to last forever. Lots of gimme games and not enough jeopardy early on.

I think they need to expand the cricket to grow the sport (also the rugby) if it’s to grow. We are missing Ireland Scotland for a start who are getting better. Make it four groups of four or two groups of six for a start, top four going on to a quarter final, lesser nations will only get better with better opponents.

The demise of the West Indies is off the scale. The winners of the first 2 World Cups and now can't even get through qualifying to take part in the finals ! When I watched the likes of Richards, Greenidge, Lloyd and all those ferocious quicks, I could never have dreamed that they'd be a World Cup with Holland in it but no West Indies !

Hard to avoid some "gimme games", but I think there's plenty of jeopardy with all the top nations having to play each other.

South Africa already past 200 against SL, having only lost 1 wicket and with 20 overs still to go!!
206-1 off 30.
