I had a bet before going today, just for an interest - England to win, England most sixes, and England highest opening partnership. A loser after one ball!

Still had a great day, though. When we batted, Malan was sublime and Stokes was awesome, and when they batted Woakes and Topley bowled beautifully. A comprehensive win.

Disappointing really, because I hate England of course. :emoticon-0136-giggl
Did you catch any of those 6 balls Stroller

Final ODI at Lords today... weather looks lovely, unlike here where its chucking it down, orange weather warning in place.... summer comes to an abrupt end....

England win toss and bat.....

Remarkable goings on at Lord's here, Root has been drooped twice and both New Zealand fielders have gone off with injured fingers, Southee a definite dislocated finger. Also Mitchell went off with a finger injury after catching Bairstow ! 3 Kiwi's in trouble with their digits just ahead of a World Cup, isn't good for them. Don't think I've ever seen Root as out of touch with the bat as he is at the moment. Malan going well again though

Interesting stat.... 4 of the last 5 ODI's at Lord’s, the team batting first ended up with scores in the 240's, including the World Cup Final...... Also in 7 of last 8 ODI's team batting first has won.....

Lord's looks like a low scoring ground..... anything around 280 would be a challenge.

Well the 240 average reached in 40 overs, so 300 on, hopefully Malan and Livingstone can up the ante a bit in last 10 overs.....

Malan must be a strong bloke but he plays so smoothly, especially on the off side, that it looks effortless. Fantastic timing.

It was really noticeable the other day at the Oval. Stokes was all brute force, whilst Malan was all timing.

Apparently no team batting 2nd has made 300 at Lords in a ODI since 2002...... looks like we can add NZ to that list....

Is anyone watching the ODI between England v Ireland? England are 84-0 after 6 overs with a projected score of 700! And it's only the B team.
