Genuine question…..is this test series unusually exciting for Test Cricket….or am I possibly understanding more the way it works and it’s complexities ?

Must say, it really has got me excited in every game so far
It depends on your perspective. I’m loving it because it’s a clash of styles, and our kamikaze style has dragged the Aussies into a similar but not quite as aggressive approach. I wouldn’t say they have better players but they are certainly more consistent at this level. Even though they are two up after two it doesn’t feel like a one sided series, it’s really well balanced, which is exciting in itself.

Have to say I also took a lot of pleasure from the old style slow version of Test cricket, though Ashes matches are always inherently more exciting.

If you can only enjoy sport if your team wins and you are English it must be awful.

I’m just hoping the whole thing is still live on the fourth day of the fifth test…..

It doesn't feel like a one sided series, but as in so many sports we watch, experienced teams who may not actually be better than their opponents will always find ways to win, and this is what is happening in this series. Its been fantastic to watch but we have been far to naive and our fielding amateurish at times equates to losing the series

I think most test matches in this country tend to be quite exciting, especially against teams like India.
Ashes tests in this country are very often absolute classics.

Should add that I’m finding the short ball everybody back tactics that both teams have used a little trying though, fine in short bursts, but we’ve seen a lot of it. It’s working so they will continue….

All set for another roller coaster day...... Expect it to be bit of a cheek clencher.....

C'mon lads this is very doable....

Ali ain't good enough to bat at 3 at this level. 60-2. Stark moving it alot. We need a partnership badly to calm things down
