True story ...............................Ouch!

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Beer giant Carlton United Brewery (CUB) has brewed a cheeky one-off beverage for England's cricket team in response to the side's controversial loss to Australia in the second Ashes Test. A limited edition 'England Bitter' has been produced for Ben Stokes and his team, who refused to share a beer with the Aussies last week. Cases of the beer, branded in the same recognisable green-labelled bottles as VB, have been put on a plane and sent to the English team at Headingley

Fair enough. I don’t take an ethical view on it but I think it’s a shame it happened as it has distracted from a great series. The atmosphere at Headingley today will be poisonous and I get enough of that at Loftus Road.
From the cricket purist's point of view maybe, but what happened, though distasteful to many, has just spiced up this series. There'll be fire from the start at Headingley.
And how many more people will be watching, listening or reading about this match in particular, just to see what brimstone both teams will fling at each other.
Right throughout the cricketing world people will be interested in the next five days.
People love controversy, especially when they aren't involved.

If only Bairstow was more confident we'd have them in all sorts. Wood is different gravy, 95.5 mph lol. If only him and Archer were fully fit from the start of the series. We all knew we needed that searing pace in this series !

Very good session for England. Aussie mids need big innings otherwise this could be over in 3-4 days. That's if weather doesn't intervene. Sat., Sun. and Mon. look quite wet according to forecast.
I'd take a draw at this stage.

Missed most of the morning session, but what fun........ Nice to see the Aussies in trouble for once.....

We're a couple hundred miles South and West of Leeds and it's chucking it down here, rain moving from West to East......

How many chances are England going to give the Aussies......... Don't they do catching practice?
