Surely they must think he can't do any more damage?

It seems common knowledge that he has torn his calf. That would usually take 6-8 weeks of total rest, however bad the tear is.
By running on it, or even putting strain on it, like he has to when batting, it will only make it worse……that’s common sense.
It’s an absolute bizarre decision

Yes it would make it worse….think a bit of string that has a few strands torn….putting strain on the remaining strands will quite possibly caucused those to tear as well (more easily of course because there are less strands there in the first place) thus meaning more damage has been done.

Well it's bizarre that they're putting him at that risk.
I'd like to hear their explanation.
