You don't have to be liked to be good and the opinion of a South African? Especially as they are about to start a test series here, in the next few weeksVery very interesting comments regarding Warner in Du Plessis' new book ! It really does sound like he's the most hated player in World cricket. Not that I'm shocked
It certainly is, will take a mighty effort from anyone to stop India in their own back yard. Hope we have a near full strength squad to put up a good defence of the trophy !You don't have to be liked to be good and the opinion of a South African? Isn't the ODI World cup next year as well, in India I think.
2nd ODI against Aussies is nip and tuck.... Aussies 280/8 off their 50 overs, England currently 138/3 from 24 overs after being 0/2 in the first over..... Vince and Billings tipping along nicely both making 50's......
And yet if you won, you'd be like "Ha, we won with second string players. Take that Aussies. Stick that in you Fosters."Not bothered at all by this, 2nd or 3rd string players mostly, just a few days after winning the 20/20. Ridiculous timing and completely irrelevant, the World Cup pitches won't be anything like this. Hopefully all our big hitters will be fit for that and the Ashes. Badly need Stokes to reverse his decision for 1 more World Cup. Smith ominously looking very good again in time for the Ashes is a major concern though !
Just 10 days to go until the first of two tests against the West Indies and then, over Christmas, 3 tests against South Africa. The next match after this is the first test in the Ashes series at Edgbaston, 16th June 2023.Having watched bugger all cricket of late, here l was just wandering thru the sports news and low & behold, l found this…….. still, give me Test match cricket any day.

Compared to the old days, and not even that long ago, there really is a lot of international cricket now.Just 10 days to go until the first of two tests against the West Indies and then, over Christmas, 3 tests against South Africa. The next match after this is the first test in the Ashes series at Edgbaston, 16th June 2023.
I wouldn't mate, these mean absolutely **** all except to tune tge Aussies up for their upcoming tests. After winning the 20/20 World Cup , England should've had time off to celebrate instead of playing 3 meaningless 1 day internationals fielding mostly fringe players. All I'm worried about winning are The Ashes and World Cups !And yet if you won, you'd be like "Ha, we won with second string players. Take that Aussies. Stick that in you Fosters."
Just sayin'![]()

You'll batter them pal, they're a pale imitation of past Windies sides.Ok. I was just yanking your chain HB.
I agree that this game was badly scheduled and more to give the Aussies an ego boost as well as an assessment of their stocks for the important games ahead.
Hope they also realise this, 'cause the Windies won't be pushovers.
