Yes Pant is, but we've bowled poorly at him again, you need to go head high bouncers at him with serious pace and we haven't got it without Wood. Archer looks like he's finished , it's one injury after another, Potts going short at him isn't gonna cut it, he's not quick enough. We've bowled too many 4 balls for him and Jadeja and induced no pressure, unfortunately Leach looks toothless again and we're praying for a mistake. We desperately need some quick wickets before it's too late.
 
Complete carnage now, we are all over the place. No idea what to do, and are just gifting runs. Pant has blown us away, and we've completely lost the plot !

It was before Pant took us apart. Have to question some of Stokes captaincy this afternoon and the bowling. It looks a belter of a wicket to be fair now, so all we have to do is score 500 plus when we bat lol. I don't like our top order against Bumrah in particular though, we will have to bat incredibly well.
 
A day that sums up the ebb and flow of Test cricket like no other sport......... England on Top at 98/5 then Pant decides to go into 1 Day mode and evens things up...... Game has moved on at a fast pace and England could easily be facing a 450 target by lunch, anything under that and England might have the edge as again it's only 4 or 5 sessions to get to that, so by Tea on Day 3 India are likely to be batting again with the game evenly poised.......

Why are we banging the ball in half way down the wicket ffs ? It's Shami for gods sake, pitch it up and nick him off or bowl him or lbw, utterly clueless. Jadeja dropped on 92 now by Root and Crawley between them. This is not good
 
35 runs off 1 over, against Bumrah ! Wtf ? Utterly stupid bowling, why do we do this ? I can't understand it from Stokes and McCullum, surely Broad and Anderson don't want to be bowling like this ?
 
Seems like the Stokes/McCullum ideology includes selecting players no matter what their form or capability in the hope that some jolly slaps on the back and ‘play your natural game’ chants will make a difference.

I didn't expect Crawley to play in this Test, but McCullum and Stokes both spoke very positively about him after the last game. Surely must be dropped if he doesn't get a score in the second innings, though.
