Why did it take so long to get Anderson on?

299 to win at 4.16 per over. Rather unlikely, but possible with a good start, as NZ have to play for a win.

Second over not so good then.

How long have we been looking for a proper opening pairing in test cricket? Over a decade now isn't it?
 
We have to get to 30 overs no more than 2 down. Doesn't matter if we need 5 an over from there with this outfield and the batters we have. A bit of common sense required and cool heads.
