Bump....

A month after the Test series against India finished and a wasted month of that fatuous franchise cricket, we're back to something approaching normal with ODI's against South Africa.... England scratching around on 107/4 from 18 overs.....
I worked at a Hundred game and now accept that it brought a new crowd that I never imagined seeing at Lords, especially teenage girls chasing autographs & selfies with their favourite Women players.

However... I have spent most of the summer feeling very short changed by Test Cricket. The Tests were great, but very rushed regards scheduling, almost pushed to the side for the Hundred.

I like Tests throughout the Summer, not done and dusted in July.

Lack of preparation apparently....

Yesterday 5 of the England squad were driving up the M1 due to being involved in the Hundred Final on Sunday.....

Great planning.....

Couldn't even bat for half the overs.....

At least Headingley will save on their electricity bill by not having to turn the floodlights on.....

South Africa 34/0 off 3 overs.

I actually watched a bit of the Hundred this time. It’s alright, decent crowds and gets new people interested. I don’t think they need both the Hundred and the T20 Vitality Blast though.

50/0 after 6 overs and Markram has absolutely destroyed the debutante bowler Baker.
