Absolutely agree,

I know theres many factors involved but seeing teams bowled out in 54, 57 & 65 overs does dissapoint me. I don't need to see a six attempted on every shot.

Correct, test cricket had an etiquette. It was never meant to be a slog fest….. that’s for the uncouth.
The English certainly had their share of quality elegant batsmen. Greg Chappell, Australian batsman played, as Richie Benaud would say, was a batsman who played all the shots effortlessly, with much elegance. Test cricket, when played in the true spirit of the game, was pure class…… you don’t get that, you can’t get that from the shorter forms of the game. I’ve never watched a T-20 game todate and won’t.

Not great so far but things can change fast.
A couple of wickets before lunch makes it about even Stephens. Apparently the thinking is that Headingley in recent years has tended to get easier day by day. We'll see. You don't want to put the oppo in to bat and see them score 400.

Yeah I read that the winners of the last six or something tests there batted second

Has anybody been able to watch it on Steely+ favourite Fawanews today?

Not used it since the season ended but the site it doesn't seem to be working.

Good day for India, though England would have had 100+ more had they batted. It’s incredibly humid where I am can’t be so bad in Yooooorkshiiire otherwise the ball would be swinging all over.

Our attack never looked likely to take 20 wickets, but Bumrah aside if he hits a hot streak, neither does theirs. Batting fest!

471 all out, which is way less than it looked like being.

We'll probably need the storm to break quite soon, though. Won't want to be batting in these overcast conditions.

Good fightback by England, thought India would post way in excess of 500 given their overnight score.....

Only problem is that Burhma gets Crawley in first over..... so predictable....
