A great game of Cricket and 2 more to go. England did well to reach 359, I suspect with more time pressure, 1-1.5 days, instead of 2-2.5 days it would have been an even closer contest, or a different result.

Thrilling game, unbelievable mistakes from the Aussies towards the end, the missed run out, catch and wasting an appeal. Terrible umpiring yet again but I’ll take it this time.

We were fortunate, if we go on to win the Ashes it will paper over what a poor captain Root is but a great day apart from the Swansea win.

To be honest, based on the England 2nd Innings, I think Root was good and set you lot up for the win with a good foundation from which Stokes built. The catch in the deep was difficult and Lyons should have bad dreams about the missed stumping. The wasted appeal? You shouldn't have to save one for a dead cert lbw. Mr Wilson should hang his head in shame, but he has set up an interesting two matches .

I did say terrible umpiring but the review system was implemented for when the opposing team feel hard done by, not for use when they have the slightest of chances or desperation. It might be a lesson for both teams

And where do you think the white Kiwi's came from ? I mean the Aussies are more of a convict team, not much indigenous Australians in the squad is there, you have them in the North prison camps.
