We were playing well until the first wicket fell ... and then it went into ratshit. The fall of wickets after then was inexcusable. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow was a fantastic effort, but then the well famed prolonged batting line-up collapsed.
At 135-0 after 15 overs we could have knocked it around and reached the target. However, that isn't the England way and they just keep on swinging. Perhaps a mix of the two would be prudent. Again, not having our strongest side is unfortunate.
Eng win toss again and field again. Buttler captain and several other changes - Malan, Livingstone and Topley in for Morgan, Billings and Wood.
India's 50-over batting is kind of old-fashioned. They knock it around at 5 an over and then look to hit out at the death. I know they won the first one, but even if they got 10 an over from here, they would only be setting England 320, which I would expect them to get.
Is this a re-run of the game the other day or a new game as it seems to be following the same path.......England bowlers getting smashed all around the ground at the end of the innings......257/3 of 43....... Not sure I have Strolls's confidence about chasing down anything in the 320 region........
Yeah, I didn't think they'd actually get 320 at that point. Perhaps 'expect them to get' was overdoing it a bit, but they'd do it more often than not on a good wicket, I reckon. India's approach has worked for them again today, but it's very dependent on not losing wickets in the middle of the innings.
Don’t rate the Curran boys bowling at the end of innings, too easily being picked off, not suited to Odi
Just the mere 23 runs from the 46th over........ Perhaps I should just copy & paste this for overs 47, 48,49 & 50
