10 runs and seven wickets to avoid an innings defeat! Come on lads! Bit of a fiasco all round this, isn’t it?
I think there might be some formal complaints about this one. It’s still a test of skill, but if part time spinners are picking up 5 wickets including a couple of very good batsmen, questions will be asked. Warne could have taken 20 wickets in a day on this. Or perhaps a session. Good entertainment, in an odd way, though.
The ball has turned a lot from the very start, but many of the wickets have gone to balls that went straight on. Poor technique from batsmen on both sides. The Indian commentators were rueing the fact that too many of their batsmen don't have enough experience against spin in first-class cricket. I'm really enjoying it though, they should make it a three-innings game.
When you see the ball turn sideways and begin to expect odd things the straight ball becomes a very potent weapon. We’re 16 ahead now, could be enough. Three inning game would still finish tomorrow, on day three though, wouldn’t it?
Indians laughing at Pope, who is playing as if they are bowling hand grenades at him. But it’s Root who goes first. Blood and sand!
Momentum shifts again, just when England start to get a sniff of applying some pressure a couple of quick wickets...... Need another 100 runs at least to make it interesting......
I can't see how the Indians are all laughing and giggling. I'd be embarrassed. This Test Match is a spoof, it's like starting a Test Match on a day five pitch.
81 all out......49 for India to win........ Crowd the bat and Root and Lynch to bowl....... could be tight given how both side have batted so far.
