Curran gets a reprieve lbw off a no ball......given out but VAR shows Cummings overstepped...……

I know I've said this before but it looks as if the umpires are just not looking for no balls these days and are simply waiting to be bailed out by VAR to correct their mistake if a wicket is taken......

Yes, this has been poor from England. They've had so much go their way, but have still let Australia get on top. Woakes out now, but that looked like it was going down. No review.
 
8 down...…….the only surprising thing is that we shouldn't be surprised...….from 170/3 to 226/8 or 56/5 in last hour and a half
 
**** this, it looks like I'm going to be treated to a day of watching Steve Smith and his mini-me Labuschagne bat. I'll have to just get pissed.

Buttler goes one-day mode now, shame he won't still be there in the morning.

When batting with numbers 10 or 11 at the other end in Test cricket, Jos Buttler has scored 287 runs at an average of 57.4 and with a strike rate of over 84.
 
271/8 at close...…...should have been closer to 300/3.

Also only 82 overs bowled in the day.....should be a 10 run penalty for every over not bowled in a day as paying public are being short changed......
 
We'll be in our seats at 11am sharp tomorrow, hoping for an hour of Jos Buttler in one-day mode. England really should have done much better today and will need another 60 or 70 (unlikely, I know) to make their score respectable.
 
What happened? I was expecting about 3-300 not 8 for 271 when I woke up. I'll take that though, but I'm surprised. I'm hoping Warner and Harris can get a couple of hundred.
