No chance.

Watching the final overs, I got the impression that the Kiwis weren't exactly busting a gut to win. Williamson kept himself on bowling pies.
India may also let up against one of the teams that can pip us to the semis.
Even though we're struggling the other sided would rather we were out before the semis.

Come off it, Col. New Zealand haven't qualified yet, why would they risk it just to try and keep England out?

Interesting game at old Trafford between India and West Indies.....packed ground basking in sunshine and India 98/2 from 21 overs....

184/5 from 39 overs......

Looks like 270 - 280 is the new par score this world cup......

Wickets are being prepared for a good contest between bat and ball.....it's not the slugfest that a lot of people expected...

268/7 at the end.....

Depends on how the universe boss goes about this but should be in for a cracking 2nd half....

Marcus Trescothick to retire at the end of the season at the age of 43 after 27 years in first class cricket, all with Somerset. Top batsman in his pomp. Part of the greatest series ever.

Enjoy your retirement.

The great Jack Hobbs, scorer of 61,760 runs and 199 centuries. The highest scorer in the history of the game and a record unlikely to ever be beaten. Ironic that his model here is in butter as the current England side regularly melt when the heat is turned up...
