**** me, 5 down now and Moeen Ali comes to the crease. Based on recent form, he's a walking wicket.

The bookies don't think much of the pitch. I backed England at 6/4 when we were two down and it's now Evens.

England last 3 test innings:
77
246
187

I think we will whitewash the Aussies in the Ashes and walk the World Cup.

Your obviously using the George Costanza 'everything is opposite' theory but in saying that, with our team of juveniles, anything is possible.
Infact, repeat that 77 against us and you may only have to bat once.

Apparently it’s an impossible wicket with a ridge in it, very uneven bounce, soft patches, a real batsman’s nightmare.

Windies 65-0, 356-0 off the last 100 overs England have bowled at them.

England have bowled beautifully this morning (Broad in particular) with no luck, but Stokes has now come on and made the breakthrough.

More to come, hopefully.

Broad has been so unlucky, but he's finally got a wicket. 151-3 now and England still have a chance in the game if they can keep them to not much more than 250.

Edit: …..and now he's got another. England are not out of this by any means.

An interesting contrast between this game and England v West Indies games from many years ago. Darren Bravo, scoring at 20 runs per 100 balls, has played the kind of innings that Geoff Boycott or even David Steele might have played way back then. The current England team has nobody capable of doing that. I like the positivity of having 8 or 9 batsmen in the side all playing aggressively, but sometimes you just need to graft it out.

That's where Cook and Trott were so effective a few years back. T20 is changing the face of Test cricket, there was a discussion on Radio yesterday saying we've literally run out of openers that can just see out the first 25 overs without effecting the sort of collapses that are now commonplace. No doubt this will usher in 4 day Tests before too long...

Overall, Test cricket Is a far more entertaining game now, though.
