Playing poorly, still getting a win, I'll take that. Another 3pts. On we go.

I'm in Northumberland these days, so it's just down the road. Real shame not to be able to go.

Good result, I said last week given the number of injuries plus fixtures, its important we learn how to win ugly. If we can stick in and around the top 2 until the end of Nov and then get some of our players back from injury, we could have a good season

I've been saying it for years the player we've never adequately replaced is Magilton, he could win the ball and gain 25 yards in the blink of an eye without stepovers and having the trainer on to straighten his Alice band.

Luca Civelli I think has been our best midfielder since (if you don’t count loans), but his injury prevented him making any headway at Town. I think it was Jim who signed him.

Very true, we've not had a player who can take the game by the scruff of the neck and dictate the tempo, whether that be to up it or take the sting out of the game. We've certainly had players who have had the ability to do so but maybe not the character.

I think Garvan was the closest but he lost his way when ME came to the club and Bullard did for about half a season. I certainly think Dozzell has the talent but does he have the character, im not sure yet. Even if Magilton was having a bad game, he would demand the ball and force things to happen through sheer perseverance and character. I think that's something we lack in our current squad mainly due to lack of experience, we've got talent but sometimes they can shy away from things (not talking about effort), it made me realise after watching Wembley 2000 whilst there were some great footballers, we also had characters with that personality and experience to dig in and be confident in their ability even if things weren't going their way.
