I grew up in Chester and an old mate of mine, Ian Williamson, who was a fanatical Chester fan, is now a director at Crewe. I was getting a freebie in the posh box before this bloody covid nonsense Amazing how times change. The last Chester game me and Ian went to, before he turned Crewe, was a 5-0 win at Craven Cottage! ****, I'm getting old...
As it feels as though every week I say there’s xyz rival scraping 3 pts with just a 1-0 , it’s our turn to steal or be lucky. Deffo a 1-0 away win
We are now an unstoppable juggernaut. I expect and I would imagine the players now expect to win every game. As long as we do not get complacent I cannot see us losing. I still expect us to hammer a team sooner or later so for that reason I am going for 0-5. AOB x 2, Wyke x 2 and Sanderson.
I think we'll nick a 9-0 win, 6 in the first half and only 3 in the second half! 9 assists by Mcgeady, a double hat-trick by Chaz, and a brace by Lee Burge with an own goal giving the ninth. Ive had such a good week in other areas of life that this would be the icing and the cherry
Just the one RTB, just the one. Its actually been 2 cans of John Smiths and a glass of red unfortunately. Just having some fun But, have had an awesome week elsewhere, business related but super fabulous stuff Im buzzing about. Managed to get a ton of cash pledged for charity - most of it winging its way towards the North East
9-0 with five seconds left on the clock then O'Nien scores with a diving header from outside the box to make it 10. By the time he hangs his boots up I wouldn't be surprised if he was the world record holder for career number of diving headers. Loves them.
Lucky man - Andalucia is my favourite part of Spain - Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba great places to visit hopefully I'll get out there again soon.
When we played them at home I remember they insisted on playing out from the back, if we can get our pressing game going we can get some joy from that. I also remember that Mandron really struggled to make anything stick, but we did have Wright in that game, hopefully Sanderson can match up physically. I don't think a draw would be a disaster, but if we win this afternoon I feel like the next 2 are also very winnable, and we could be peaking at the right time.
Still playing with our patched up defence, win this one, get O'nien back in midfield and we will be flying
The tension is building, with each game, because we're increasingly expecting to win. But also because it all means something now. Before KLD & LJ it all seemed pointless and dreary. But now we've allowed ourselves fo feel excited and involved ... ... so, once again, it will actually hurt if we lose. HTFL ....
I think the manager has done well considering the injuries ... ... losing Hume in the first match ffs. He's exactly what we need on that side with the way McGeady is playing. Imagine being their right back if those two were coming at you.
Its strange waking up on a match day wondering how many we are going to win by. Its a nice feeling and long may it continue.
They've always been a decent passing football side since all them Dario Gradi years. I'm not to far from Chester. I knew a few Sunderland lads back in the day from around that area. Aye the years have flown mate. I'm an awld bastid too ,
