Not one has done anything worthwhile. Passes under/over hit. We cannot even take a throw in without putting ourselves in danger. Add the little niggly fouls all over the pitch as we are too slow.

You would think Crewe had an extra 2 players the amount of space and all the loose balls they are picking up.

We need to grow a set of balls and get obrien and gooch/mcgeady off for jones and diamond and run at them. Poss Leadbitter on for scowen.

 

Ah I don't think.its harsh - I'm mainly talking about mentality and killer instinct.

How many times in the last 3 seasons have we been on the cusp of the top 2 and not pulled the trigger.

We had games in hand and didn't capitalise, we also had cup finals and play off finals and fell short. I'm suggesting that it's a psychological thing at this point caused by years of failure and the weight of expectation.

LJ can apply tactics and is ultimately doing the right things, I'd argue the team are too to a point but it takes longer to change a culture and an ingrained mentality. We just sent aren't there yet on that first half performance.

I'm not writing us off by any stretch I just think we created a mountain to climb in the first half of the season.

 

A full half to go and a goal in the first 20 minutes changes everything ...

I think they need the cup final knocked out of their heads and concentrate on this game.

Get O/9 into the middle, the back 3 or 4 argument is all about shape and players knowing their responsibility, this chopping and changing formation and personnel is causing unnecessary confusion.

 

Appalling this not one player putting the effort in play offs at best now, getting beat to every ball, 09 should have cleared the first ball goal he is not a defender the tempo is poor and we are not up for it, right this off now i was going to say get Mcageady off and rest him but he has done nowt like the rest.

 

Gooch back to his old self and McFadzean should be doing better for both goals. He’s a liability.

Why on earth would you change a formation that has served us well in the past few games? Bloke’s an arrogant tit.

Didn't stop us winning the last two games, it's not the cup's fault Johnson decided to bugger up the formation.

 

He thinks he’s McGeady and needs to do everything. He’s nowhere near skilful enough. I’d be taking him off for Jones at half time.
