Chuffed to hear that. He is looking the part. His part in Ross first goal was brilliant, sort if thing if a prem player does it gets the MOTD boys raving.

I agree Pritchard looked better, last night I did wonder if he would click at some point, to get up to speed needed 10 games or so?.

Yeah I haven't seen much of him but I assumed we wouldn't have signed him if he wasn't a quality player and it's plain to see it in that through ball. Seems like he's going to get a decent run now.

Nice play from O'Brien in the build up too.

Probably mate, dont think he had much footy before us and missed part of pre season. Technically he is quality so hopefully he gets better the more he plays. He is going to have to looking at how Embleton has played.

What had been written about him before he arrived, was he was supposed to be class. IMHO he had not shown it, tried too hard perhaps, shooting on sight poorly etc. Last night it looked as if he could add something significant to the team... let's see going forward.

As you say Embleton is out the next two games anyhow.

Just watched the highlights and had to make a point about O'Brien as I know there's a theory, unfair imo, that his contribution is zero.

First goal, he makes a great near post run and is on the back of the defender who puts it in the net, O'Brien was there for a tap in if he'd missed it.

Second goal, he starts the move with a forward pass into Dan Neil.

Third goal, he blocks off the keeper so Stewart has a tap in.

Fourth goal, he can't keep pace and Dajaku leaves him standing <laugh>

Nobody doubts he works his arse off during a game, but as he is classed a striker, he needs to score more...

Great hat-trick a short while ago and I thought he might kick on from then... he had at least 3 (half) chances during the game and failed iirc to get a shot on target.

We have a couple of young players, Harris and Broadhead pushing for a start, unless AOB scores he will drop down the pecking order.

I was dead jammy coming back from the game. Kipped at a mate's gaff and left at 5.30 to get to work & by 6.45 I was halfway down the M5 when rain came down that would have bothered Noah. By the time I got on the M42 the traffic had slowed to a standstill, but while I was cursing away, an hour or so later there was a bad crash which blocked the M5 for hours. There but for the grace of God...

I've ripped AOB in the past but he was very good Tuesday. Deserved a goal.

Wyke was very poor, for ages, but people stuck with him and he came good .....

... and O'Brien works twice as hard imo.

Unless he improves I think AoB's days are numbered, just my opinion, Wyke like Grigg did not want to be here, I truly hope AoB improves as he certainly wants to play for the club, but that alone is not enough.

Not so sure about Wyke, he was offered more money by his new club to move, we would not match it!

Grigg however was a waste of money.. Donald's awful mistake after he screwed up and Maja left... Ross did not want him

Wyke is a journeyman at best, and took the best offer he will ever get and no one begrudges him doing so , but he put little effort into teamwork while he was here, and looks happier at Wigan, but I would not swap him for Stewart any day of the week. My main worry is Stewart having to miss any games before the transfer window, as I am certain we will strengthen this area then, as it is our one weak spot imo with little meaningful cover atm.

Be careful you might be accused of talking sense on a football forum... where bitchy rows are expected!
