The former Trafalgar School pupil became a first-year scholar in June and has been appearing for the Academy this season. Mnoga is named at right-back in the Checkatrade Trophy as one of nine changes to the side which lost to Gillingham at the weekend. There is also a debut for Louis Dennis, finally given his chance to impress in the first-team following a summer arrival from Bromley. Meanwhile, Dion Donohue makes his long-awaited comeback after being dogged by illness and injury.
Crawley Team: Mersin, Doherty, McNerney, Poleon, Francomb, Sesay, Vincelot, Bulmam, Galach, Allarakhia, Camara. Subs: Morris, Young, Connolly, Maguire, Randall, Payne.
0-1 to Pompey First goal for PFC from Dion Donohue just back from injury. 37th minute. Pompey break as Evans feeds Mason. He gets the ball out to Donohue on the left who checks on to his right and arrows home a lovely finish.
Wait, so there wasn't a match thread for Gillingham but there's a match thread for this joke of a competition? #BoycottEFLTrophy
Yes, though it pains me to support Crawley (or whoever we play), I do it because I don't want to see my club take part in a competition which is demeaning and sees a club who are two times champions of England with a 120 year history as nothing more than training opposition to the overly bloated academies of the PL.
