That's tough as Klose is injured and Zimmerman will have to play the whole game unless Amadou drops back later.

 

Seems like none of the starting 11 are staking a claim for a place against Wetsham!!

 

A worry we can't even keep a clean sheet against Crawley.

Awful that Klose went off injured so early. Obviously not fit yet.

Great to see Idah get a start!

 

Matt Jarvis commentary

 

Sounds as though we have nearly all the possession, but several players fluffing chances.

 

From the Pink'un coverage:

"Vrancic with a lovely ball over the top, Idah is clean through, linesman flags and I think he's wrong there, was right in front of us. No replays though."

Not much going for us. Have to remember that this 11 has hardly played together and learning as the game goes on. Crawley parking the bus and breaking occasionally.

 

Again from the coverage:

"Wonderful football from City! Byram and Vrancic combine down the right, with a clever pass then slipped into Roberts. He slaloms around a couple of Crawley defenders before seeing a low right-footed shot across the face of goal come back off the base of the post."

If Klose is injured, that's a real blow, but fortunately Zimbo is fit again.

Zimmerman off and Buendia coming on as Amadou drops back to CB. Forced by the Klose injury as Godfrey was intended to replace Zimbo at this point.

 

Buendia has made a difference. Perhaps bring Stiepermann on for a tiring Srbeny?
