Just thinking of old ´blackratgreen´
Crawley was his next favourite team,
And after today
To draw them away
Might extend our FA Cup dream

And today´s 2-1 victory
Just mirrored our league game fully,
1-0 at half time
And then we would shine
Late on, to win comfortably

And what a debut for Jed Steer
He was here, there, and everywhere,
Getting in the way
Come just what may
And showing not a scrap of fear

Brilliant, also from PL
Who played his hand so it would tell,
Saving a few
Of his working crew
For the upcoming Premier League spell

Now three more wins only it takes
In this cup and Wembley awaits,
And I know, I know
We don´t want to throw
Our league place onto slippery skates

But winning´s a habit that´s hard
To break, so for me, fast forward,
And just take each game
As it comes, and claim
Whatever we can in that regard

But one black spot about today
I fear Lambert P´s in the fray,
For the M o M
The curse of all men
But it´s deserved, if it should come his way. OTBC

Have a great week all,

Yours,

Great RBF, but isn't it two wins to get to Wembley with the semi finals at Wembley!

Great for Steer though! Maybe Lambert used this FA cup game to prove that Steer is a reliable back-up with Rudd out injured.

Hi RBF! The title sounds like what we'll be doing on the way home tonight after a celebratory beer or three!

A cup run would be good as long as it doesn't interfere with our main objective, and I think we have the right man at the helm for that not to happen!

Well, I failed miserably on team selection, but I scored full marks on all the bonuses! <ok>

Yes you´re right wonky, these days it is the semi´s at Wembley, shame really, rather preferred it as it was in the old days, with Wembley the ultimate prize. <ok>

Dave, at the moment, (and for the past two years), he can do nothing wrong. :)

Ideal draw for us? Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea all drawing each other and a nice home tie against Stevenage or Crawley.

I´d be quite happy to go away to either of those two Dazz, that is after all what the glamour of the cup is all about.

I only say at home so its easier for me to get there :emoticon-0105-wink: although as long as we avoid those four I think we've got a bloody good chance f getting to the quarter finals

shame ratty didn't join us here RBF, he was entertaining

does anybody know what time the draw is tomorrow?

Crawley will get Spurs, Liverpool or Chelsea

I look at our cup exploits in this light - If we cannot predict how PL will set up his side and know which players he will use to fit that system what chance do other managers of other clubs have? PL has the ability to change things around depending on the circumstances to achieve the end goal, ie winning a football match by whatever means necessary.

He took Wycombe to the semis of the League Cup which yet again demonstrates just how good his tactical know how over a one off fixture (and held a much better Chelsea from back in their heyday to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of that semi too) and he has proven himself over the past 2 and a half years to be perhaps our finest ever manager. We just need some luck with the draw and who knows!

Also draw numbers are:

1 Brighton & Hove Albion
2 Sunderland or Middlesbrough
3 Millwall or Southampton
4 Crawley Town
5 Chelsea
6 Norwich City
7 Blackpool or Sheffield Wednesday
8 Arsenal or Aston Villa
9 Stevenage
10 Tottenham Hotspur
11 Liverpool
12 Stoke City
13 Everton
14 Bolton Wanderers
15 Birmingham City
16 Leicester City
