It got some of you boys all excited though judging from the responses! Watching the game it was interesting to see that you didn't have a hope of scoring until the referee intervened. Perhaps he was feeling sorry for you and as this will probably be the last time he will get to referee a Portsmouth game, he decided to ensure that you got the points! The irony being that this won't mount to a hill of beans once you finally fold.

Nor did Crawley in all honesty, did they ? Go on, admit it.

Go Johnny, Go Johnny, Go Johnny..........no, I really mean it, GO JOHNNY !

Was he at the game do you know ?

Crawley had their record attendance today by far. Circa. 1700 Pompey fans made the trip.

All I could hear on the radio was Crawley fans chanting to the referee "you don't know what your doing". What on earth did they mean ?.........

To be fair WD the referee had an absolute shocker along with his officials. I was amazed by some of those decisions he gave. We had him at Ipswich last season and he was shocking that day! He booked one of our players for not correctly spotting the ball in the corner quadrant! He couldn't wait to get his cards out. He must have been bullied at school!

^This is what proves my point.^

Bitter. I would imagine the Pompey fan, who pretends to be your mate, as do many others no doubt, will be sticking it to you.

Ah, I have definitely heard this one before. By the way Mr Deadman was the referee who was praised for not booking Billy Sharp when he removed his shirt to show a message in memory of his son. So there we go.

Everybody has some good points...

as a neutral i agree that the ref was awful, real league 1 standard . Never a sending off and howard should have gone at 0 -0 for pull when caught in possession yet again . As the expert on sky said more contact than when the pompey guy cheated and got a fellow pro sent off . Ref didnt seem to know the rules, mind you that cheat seemed to struggle with the off side rule . All in all a good afternoon watching a couple of lower league teams slugging it out . Highlight for me was the chant of "your grounds to big for you " only thing was i am not sure who was singing it to who . I guess it could have applied to either side . Roll on the proper stuff next week sky

A Southampton fan harping on about ground sizes in a game that doesn't concern them, there's a surprise! <doh>

Perhaps your fans should stop singing "your grounds to big for you" to other clubs then.

If you cant take it, dont give it. I presume that you were singing "your grounds too big for you" because Crawley failed to sell out (not suprising as they were facing a team in the relegation places), therefore it stands to reason that yours is to big for you, having failed to also sell out this season.

To be fair, I don't give a damn what Southampton fan chant except for those that specifically refer to Portsmouth, but then I'm not as Southampton obsessed as you are Portsmouth obsessed.

And don't even talk about us being in the relegation places this early into the season as one win can shoot you up the table and in case you haven't noticed, you're in the relegation position yourself. I guess not many teams will sell-out against Southampton then using your 'logic'.

I don't know what planet you're on today Ducky, but the attendance of 5,058 was not only Crawley's record attendance, it was also 62 more than the ground's official capacity of 4,996.

We can take it, but we're unanimously tired of hearing it from the likes of you. You aren't much of a Southampton fan, you are a Portsmouth hater first and foremost. Your avatar bears witness to this.

The Pompey fans have a good sense of humour when it comes to stuff like this, you're so blinded by your venom, you fail to see it.

And probably what's going to occur, if you continue to persist in this silliness.

Stop trying to stir up trouble on our board. That's the second time in a few days I've had to ask you.

Haha, a bit like Farnborough, their official stadium capacity is 4,190 while their record attendance is 4,267

There seems to be a sort of temporary tented stand, down one side of the ground, from what I could see on the telly. Maybe that has pushed up their capacity.

Why did the away fans sing "your grounds too big for you" then?

Perhaps one of you could explain it to me, because I'm at a loss to understand it.............

Perhaps next time you go to a ground that's sold out, singing "your grounds too small for you" maybe a better option.

I would imagine that we could have sold double the amount of tickets allocated to us, being such a short trip; and, to boot, a novelty as none of the Pompey contingent would have been there before.

So yes; Your ground's too small for you would have probably been better in that context.
