Don't rate Noone, poorer version of Walcott all show and crap at passing, Phillips for me if we can afford him
I've seen his CV, Sparks this is on it. Malky Mackay Seeker of peace A legend in his own time Bon vivant World traveler Soldier of fortune Oppressor of champions Casual hero International lover Philosopher Wars fought Revolutions started Alligators castrated Governments run Uprisings quelled Tigers tamed Bars emptied Virgins converted Computers verified Orgies organised All round good guy
Phew. I looked at that Rhondda and thought you were talking about me! I think I'm happy to trust MM on this one. Afterall, there are a number of players that improve as a direct result of a move, especially when you look at the players he's signed from relatively lower placed clubs. Horses for courses. I also think MM will be judging potential recruits by their ability to comply with the new culture at the club.
I especially don't like him at this price, I hope to god Malky is seeing something I'm not http://www.walesonline.co.uk/cardiffonline/cardiff-football/2012/01/30/cardiff-city-manager-malky-mackay-targets-craig-noone-and-kadeem-harris-in-deadline-day-double-swoop-91466-30223744/
Maybe he didn't play last night because they want him fit for the medical. It may be a condition of the discussions.

As others on here have said already, trust MM. He hasn't put a foot wrong for us yet, we may be paying a little over the odds for Noone but we're signing him from a promotion rival in January. That's always going to incur a bit of a premium. Blackpool were happy to loan Phillips out a couple of months back at that point a £500K bid would have probably got him. I know he's been very impressive since but for that reason and the January price hike I said about, Phillips price must be pretty close to maximum at the moment. Buying players at the top of their form rarely represents value for money.
so it seems this one is dead in the water. when it came to High Noon, our fearless leader was shooting blanks. Gary Cooper?...more like Tommy Cooper
