Bryson's "release clause" is £750k which allows him to talk to other clubs about a move but any transfer fee has to be acceptable to Derby. Apparently, Bryson had talks at Burnley yesterday, is keen on a move and agreed provisional personal terms after speaking to Dyche. Burnley are said to have put in a bid of £1.4 million but Derby "laughed" and immediately rejected the bid. The Rams may decide not to sell at all and keep an unsettled player but would probably let him go for £2.5 million. Bryson was upset at only being sub at Wembley. Some Rams fans think Bryson is using the Burnley interest (maybe QPR's as well) as a way to get a bumper new contract to stay at Derby - would not surprise me in the least, but - at 27 - he may genuinely fancy a crack at the PL before it is too late. I'm 50-50 whether Bryson signs for us or not - I'd prefer James McArthur from Wigan or Thorne but I don't think West Brom would sell to a potential relegation rival. If QPR wanted Bryson they could easily offer him much higher wages as Burnley won't go above a certain level.
I'd leave him then if we are talking about multi millions, both clubs can get better players for that.
