Have you never of the Golden Bragging Trophy? The biggest prize where any derby match is played.

I would lose every derby for the next 10 years 10-0 in exchange for winning the League Cup.

A similar sentiment shared by many Toon Fans generations ago.
Worst ever Derby Day defeat on the 5th December 1908 losing 1 - 9 <grr>

It didn't matter a jot though at the end of the season on the 30th April 1909, when the 1st Division Championship Trophy was paraded around SJP.

An odd bit of history for both clubs.
Sunderland fans can glory in the scoreline and Toon fans, well, more importantly, we WON the League.

They will finish in the champions league and win the f a cup and league cup, and Mike Ashley will be a nice man.
