Today is the day I stopped giving a damn about Dyche's future. Nice guy, unlucky not to have banked some decent results early on, but these loans can't be discribed as anything other than random acts of desperation. My understanding is that there is a maximum of eight loans a season. If today's news is confirmed, I believe we are now on five (Hogg was a loan in order to play his first game, Weimann, Kightly and these two).
I thought it meant 8 loans at any one time. I may be mistaken though, it would not be the first time.
In the past loan players have been the cream or the cherry on top of the cake if you will. Such players as Cleverly. Players that clearly add quality to the squad and teach our players a thing or two while they are at the club. This loan most definitly is not in that area and other players brought in either on loan or bought outright are not better than who we already had at the club and that's obvious.
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9322950.Watford_sign_Beattie_on_loan/ The results so far: Are you pleased with the loan signing of Craig Beattie? Yes, he is an excellent player and a welcome addition: 16% Yes, but was hoping for more to be honest: 26% Wasn't needed but will strengthen the squad: 9% No, he is not better than the strikers already here: 49%
The recruitment policy has been a shambles since stephenson left! What happened to the we will buy young so we can sell on at a profit and make a couple of million on the transfer market each season as part of the 5 year plan to self sustainability!!! We seem to have got lost!!
Like Danny Graham , Like Will Buckley Don Cowie , they were young in and still young out! made a quid or so on 2 of them!!!
Might I remind you that Stephenson was responsible for also bringing in Aldred, Gilmartin, Walker and Deeney before he left. None of these four have exactly set the world on fire, although Deeney seems to give of his best.
3 out of 7 !! His successor 1 out of a bus full! Allded gilmartin and walker didnt cost us that much , Troy has always been played out of position or as a utility player done his best! but I grant you not worth what we paid for him! Dicko apart, hand on heart Frenchie which of the present new crop is better than what we had left!
take your blinkers off Norway! there are at least 4 or 5 in that group of 11 that will be good for Watford, and the others could still shine. Hmmpfh. I don't know why i rise to it!
Really H you believe that truly dont you? Okay I will modify my stance yes some of the new crop might make it in L1
Garner and Hogg are quite young aren't they and good be useful given time if the former spends a little less time on the floor and I think Yeates is ok but lacks pace which is vital for a winger. Even GT made some duff signings!
There you go rushing again! Did you really expect SD to buy young players at rock bottom prices and sell them on at a huge profit just 3 months later? At the risk of sounding like a cracked record - it takes time! Anyway, apart from Iwelumo, I suspect that all of the players he has brought in could easily be sold at a profit tomorrow - maybe not a big one, but still a profit. Prove me wrong!
Indeed he did , made some stunners as well! This present influx is as bad as some as garbage vialli brought in!
