I am pleased to hear that Luke Hyam has signed an extension to his contract. He will be a great player in the Midfield holding role for many years to come. Great in the tackle and his positional sense for one so young is awesome. Hyam and Drury have been a revelation in our Midfield, who needs Bowyer & Bullard when we have legs that are at least 12 years younger and willing to work hard!
PTC, hadnt heard any rumours about why the Wallace bid failed but like you I hope we didnt try to do the dirty on Falkirk. I was amazed though that Sky reported the transfer price to Huddersfiled as 300k rising potentially to 700k. Seems an awful lot of cash from a Falkirk prospetive. I agree that we were in a different position with Currie but from what he said it was more the club set up in terms of stadium, training ground and partially reputation, although league position may have helped. We may not be a big club but we do have a 30k all seated stadium and a highly rated training ground both in terms of what is there and what has been done there. I would like to think we can offer a better environment to a larger number of other players than other teams can.
