The point here is that the correct nomenclature (Hull City AFC) is not reflected in the 'HCFC' abbreviation in common usage among fans since the early 70s

Anyone claiming never to have seen/heard it must be under either under 30, a non local, or just a ****....

It's Boothferry Road and it was placed there the last time Manchester United visited Boothferry Park in a league game.

Not a graffiti lover, but if we had any balls, and certainly in my day (sorry but true) that would be long gone.

You're arguing for the sake of it now. No not every club has the "association" bit in the name, but we do and it's on plenty of classic city badges and kits.

By putting up signs from Boothferry Rd about Man Utd you're being a prat.

I could easily put up Sunderland as an example.

Correct.

A relic of the late 80s/90s when apathy rained and Kestrel- swilling local plastics roamed the unfenced railways at night....

I'm stating facts. You just choose not to read them.

Check who's posting pics of railway bridges- 'twas not I.

It was me that put the sign up, not City Agro, and you're the prat.

On a lighter note, technically speaking it should be "Kingston-upon-Hull Association Football Club..KUHAFC.
Anagramatically speaking, you'd have to give AFHUCK !!...and no Humberside involved !!

Can't believe this debate is still going on - HCFC is plainly wrong and I've barely ever seen it written or any fan refer to us as HCFC.

Even when growing up outside of Hull people knew we were HCAFC - hence the 'hilarious' joke that it stands for Hull City Are ****ing Crap

Technically, it should be the City and County of Kingston upon the River Hull Association Football Club. <ok>
