The fat wallet brigade win again. When will the law wake up to the obvious. Back handers and brown paper bags in local (and state and Federal) politics. Must we show proof? It's all around you!!

You sound very bitter!
36 hours ago you were getting an £800 mill cash injection. Now you are looking at relocating to hackney marshes.

Exactly brissy but this ain't over yet and the fight continues as I read it could take up to 2 years to be signed officially.

This also affects local business people as well so not just us, Renewal & Lewisham council have been buying up land in the area for over 10 years so in hindsight it was always a no-brainer as they're obviously in cahoots with each other.

The only council people that can hold their heads up high are the 22 out of 26 Labour councillors who signed an amendment last Monday opposing the CPO with none opposing it. <ok>

It was never going to happen with Renewal & Lewisham council in cahoots with each other, backhanders won the day but digressing, at least we own our ground and the land it sits on. <whistle>

All is not lost because if Renewal are to go ahead with their plans they will need to keep Millwall sweet and as long term tenants Lewisham will have to agree terms acceptable and legally binding to Millwall fc before signing the land off to Renewal.
Renewal need Millwall to be flexible and cooperative when building work begins as any delays would prove very expensive.
All is not lost...yet.
