Lets not forget the Norwich game...actually lets forget that one as well...Blackburn anyone??? Second half vs Sunderland etc etc I actually think Stoke was the worst performance this year simply because of the negativity of the formation. It's telling when you're in the pub pre-match and see so many heads drop when the formation is announced. I could see on the faces of many fans before the game that we all knew what was coming so I'd be surprised if the players don't get these vibes as well.

Lets be honest as poo as Carroll has been we can hardly lay the blame for all our ills this season at his feet alone <ok> Lets just hope we can get the scoring problems and thus the home form ironed out because we have such a solid base to build on at the moment. As frustrating as it's been so far this year I'd rather we were creating lots of chances and conceding few goals rather than creating **** all and conceding too many as we were for long spells last year.

As a biased liverpool fan i do believe he can be a succes at Anfield.
Looking back at his goals for Newcastle last season 5-6 of his goals were from set pieces, if Adam could actually whip in something good his goal tally would start to increase quite considerably. As Kenny said we signed him for 5.5 years and over that time if he could score 50-75 goals and i believe that would not be too bad- albeit not £35 million standard. After that with what will possibly be inflated prices by then sell him for £15 million-£20 million and it might not seem like such a bad move.

    When will I lose faith?
After this season has finished and hasnt scored a minimum of 12 goals(if he starts), form is temporary not permanent and we would have to admit that Carroll's time at Newcastle at the start of the 2011 season was just good form not real class

Well he's not going to come out and say: "well, he's crap isn't he? He can't control, drible, shoot, head, run, pass and offer's next to nothing to his team."

That'd be "je ne sais quoi".
Arsene's English might be as unreliable as his eyesight on occasion but I imagine his French is pretty good. :)

The thing is with Carroll, he DOES have ability. It's all well and good saying Adam must deliver the ball better from set pieces, Downing must have better delivery etc. But this is not how Liverpool play especially with Suarez in the team. What he needs to work on is his link up play, when you look at players like Henderson who has been staying late in training, extra practice and working hard to succeed, Carroll has to start doing this or he wont succeed, like I said he has ability and the opportunity is there for him he just needs to knuckle down and prove his critics wrong. As a player you can only give 100%, and if your time at Liverpool doesn't go great at least you can look back and say you gave it your all and have no regrets. Can Carroll say the same?

Agree! Watched a clip of Rushie and he mentioned that the minimum you can do is give your best and work hard for the team, if you give 100% then the Liverpool supporters will give support back (must add this was not in reference to Carrol), this for me is what I am most concerned about with Carrol. There are only two things that I think can turn it around for Carrol; 1) intelligence, unfortunately he seems to be lacking in this 2) motivation, again at the moment he seems to be lacking in this too, but surely this is the easier to change of the two. Please Andy take Rushies advice and put yourself about a bit!
