Wait, your missus never said she had Covid when Pouchy and I were round your place yesterday when you were out.
I’ve had it early January, same time as the Mrs, two daughters, son in law, granddaughter, and my eldest grandson’s had it twice. Nowt substantial, just like a bad cold. Not good for vulnerable folk though, I know at least six who’s died from it.
I don't think it's the initial symptoms that kill (shivers, runny nose etc) it's when it decides to get into the upper respiratory tract and then the lungs (I'm no doctor like).
Don't appear to have had it. My wife and 4 kids had it, wife was rough as arseholes with it. Kids barely even noticed they had it. Kids were jumping all over me as they do and I was sleeping next to wife but never got it.
If I've had it I've not noticed. All myissus' family have had it, knocked some for 6, others barely noticed they had it
Wife and kids in the UK have all had it at least once, but nothing for me. Clear that the UK is testing far more than Indonesia so reporting more cases, but deaths assigned to COVID still much lower here (144K vs 156K) when population size taken into account. Think the fact that everybody smokes, the air is heavily polluted, especially here in Jakarta, and everyone is wearing masks, means that its not transmitting as much and when people do get it they have a natural immunity developed through years of living in the ****. It's like Malaria - people here build up a natural immunity. We used to get our technicians to take Malaria prophylaxis when they went in the field until we found out they actually destroyed their natural immunity.
Bairn currently has it - On the plus side it was a bonus as didn't need to leave the house on deadline day - 6 days of Disney+ later and I can't wait for him to **** off back to school. He's buggered if he still has it come Tuesday coz I'm planning on a full day session before the Neverton game.
Tested positive on NYE for the first time, both me and the Mrs. At the time self isolation was 10 days but you were allowed out if tested negative on days 6 and 7....which we didn't of course. Days and 8 and 9 were negative for us....think they changed the guidance about a week later and reduced it to 5 days, ****s. Double jabbed and had only just had my booster on 20th Dec so probably not enough time for it to have fully gotten in to my system. I only did a test as I got pinged on NYE saying I'd been near someone who tested positive on Xmas Eve.....so a whole week earlier which is a bit of a ****ing joke like as I'd been all over the place in that week, not to mention around friends/family at Christmas (including pregnant people). Symptoms wise I was fine...head felt a bit foggy in the mornings for a few days but was generally fine after my morning coffees etc. Taste and smell were fine although my sense of smell was somewhat enhanced for certain things which was odd but I'd rather that than lose it completely. Felt a bit wiped out towards the end of the day for a few days but after that was fine.
Had it at the start of December, just felt like a very mild cold really, started with shivering, then tiredness then a bit of a sore throat. I normally get a cold around the winter so I just thought it was that, cos I was doublr stabbed I assume the symptoms were more mild than they could have been. Getting to the stage where everyone needs to get it now to be immune.
When everyone is saying they’ve had C19 is that because of a positive test or just that that’s what they figured based on the symptoms?
Following various tests, it was confirmed that both ACS and Nev had the 'Covid Unidentified Non Treatable' variant. Bit long-winded that, they really should think of an abbreviation / acronym for that one.
Never had it that I'm aware of anyway... Im considering giving my ticket away for the match because it's everywhere and I don't want to be ill.
Aye me, the missus, and my daughter have had it. Bairn is only 13, had no effect on her (singing and dancing in her room) but she gets tested a fair bit for dance shows and panto etc so that was how we knew (it was rife among them so we expected it). Missus has the constitution of an ox and she only knew she had it cause she tested after the bairn got it. Otherwise she had zero symptoms, tested positive for about 5 days. I had a cold for a couple of days, and the bottom of my back was achy for a day or so. None of us have had a jab.
Never had it that I know of and worked through the whole thing, apart from 3 months at the start. I did have the worst flu I have ever had in Jan 2019, but suspect that was just the flu as it was probably a bit early to be covid, and no tests were available at that time (for the general public)
