Brilliant from Howe. Played this to perfection. Got the **** games against Man C, Man U and Liverpool out the way. Played through the reduced numbers. We could have got more than the point we did, and had chances in all three games. Got a bit of feelgood out of two defeats and a draw. Then took his winter break like the other clubs but timed with Southampton and Everton. Games we have more chance in and can have a go at with new players. We won't have played any PL football between the 27th Dec and 15th Jan. That's massive. We have a cup game against Cambridge and can field a mixture of reserves and players needing to keep ticking over. Ideally of course we'd have signed two or three players and had a couple of weeks training. The fact that clubs are whining about us pulling their trick and using our COVID card just makes it sweeter really.
