WRONG. It was there before anyone replied, which is why I couldn't really be arsed to engage with people that hadn't read the post properly.
Is there a league table of these boring posters? I'm writing a thesis on the subject. This forum is a rich source and I need unbiased evidence.
What rules mean that's pronounced with a soft 'th' and extended E when 'thee' and 'the sis' would be different?
i didnt have my yearly flue jab last winter, thinking if ive fought off covid twice can handle anything. and neither did my workmate. neither of us had the covid jab either. is it even a thing? ive just had 3 weeks of flue like symptoms with an epicentral period of 3 days where it was prob the worst flue ive ever had. i passed it on to my workmate and he's never felt so ill in his life. coughing fits that leave him out of breath light headed and retching. no energy low oxygen levels in his blood. feels like he's going to die. he's the type that has only had 4 or 5 sick days off work in his life. my missus says theres loads of this going round almost under the radar. its as if the flu bug has got pissed off by covid stealing the limelight and has decided to up its game. so my question is. do flu jabs actually work? if they do and do so by injecting a small sample of the virus into your bloodstream then i cannot see why any other virus injected the same way wont have the same effect of lessening the symptoms should you come in contact with the full blown virus. i know some were saying and thinking that having the covid jab gave you immunity thinking you cant catch covid. i always thought it was only ever going to be a level of immunity ie giving your immune system a taste of what to come so it could be prepared for it betterer. i know it wasnt sold that way. plus is this a new strain of flu/covid?
Each to their own, personally I’ve had none of either and don’t intend to. Good luck with your flu mate
I've always had the flu jabs since I was allowed to have 'em. I just had my Covid booster on the 17th of this month with having low immune system. I've never had any problems since having the jabs, certainly can't remember the last time I had the flu. I'm pretty sure I've never had Covid.
I had 4 Covid jabs and had it twice. I never bothered last winter and ended up with double pneumonia and a pulmonary embolism in both lungs in January this year. 3 months off work.
I’m now on blood thinners until I see my consultant in June. I haven’t had a pint in nearly 4 months and am on a phased return to work. I still get a little breathless sometimes and have put on weight due to the drugs. I’m ok but have felt better. Thanks for asking mate.
