Who do you mean by the mainstream media and what is their shared agenda/what one side are they all pushing? There are some awful media organisations with a very obvious political bias, but something tells me it won't be those that your issue is with.

To share a balanced view of the actual events….not play on the word “MAY”. It’s spectulation not news…..it might not have any impact but no sign of any balance in the article. What do you think is the purpose of a newspaper? To provide you with crosswords?
I have no idea what you mean by the miracle covid jab. If you mean the vaccination, it took months to get and analyse enough data to initially prove that it was effective, and all the data since that point has supported that, particularly in showing that vaccination reduces chances of death or serious complications. Although, that's just the view of doctors and scientists. We should balance that against the views of actors, right wing politicians and general nutters and morons.
So everything must carry an opposing viewpoint? The news organisation wasn't speculating, they were quoting somebody. Is that a bit difficult for you to understand? When the Guardian says the government is crap and making a mess of things they should print a story alongside it to say there are wonderful and doing a great job to give a balanced view?

It's quite a well-known issue that lockdown brought a lot of collateral damage. There may be debate about how much could've been mitigated and how that should've been done. But there isn't a conspiracy to hide the fact that lots of people missed appointments or had them delayed due to lockdown.
If someone kept away from their GP "for fear of adding to virus pressures facing NHS”, what does that have to do with wthether there was a lockdown or not? It's someone being public spirited. You may argue that they were foolish to do so, but they weren't prevented from seeing a GP in those cases.
“protect the NHS” - lots & lots treatments that had started where cancelled, this isn’t just about access to GPs
But all the right wing media are not to be trusted. Only the Guardian and people on Facebook and twitter tell it like it is. BTW, there have been a number of sceptical pieces written by journalists on the Daily Mail as well, another right wing rag, particularly Peter Hitchens. If some people had a broader reading of papers they would see these things.
