Is that recent? I thought York had had one as well as a few other places. https://www.york.gov.uk/LocalTracing
Some areas have set up their own Test and Trace services, this is the first regional one that's an arm of national Test and Trace... The country's first local arm of the national Test and Trace service is to be set up in Hull with jobs for "local people". The service run by the National Institute for Health Protection and headed by Baroness Dido Harding currently uses a national call centre system to find people if they have come into close contact with those infected by Covid-19. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/new...r.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
I got the jab yesterday at about 10.30, never felt a thing, all day no problems at all but today a different story. I’ve been laying pavers this morning, about 30 or so but at 1 o’clock I started to fell a bit queezy. I have had an issue with my heart for about 5/6 years, every so often it’s off like the ****ing clappers, doctors cannot find a thing but believe me it’s as close to a heart attack I’d think you could get. ****ing thing is nearly jumping out of my chest, I also feel pretty light headed with it. So earlier today I thought it was that and nothing to do with the injection. Then the bloody headache started, I also felt a bit of motion sickness as I drove home. I’ve took a cpl of paracetamols and feel a lot better. My daughter who is a frontline nurse said it’s my immune system playing it’s part. The area where the jab went in feels like I’ve been punched but apart from that nothing else. I had the Oxford jab, apparently my symptoms are par for the course. I’m not writing this to put anyone off more to inform anyone that is going to get it and to let you know that it’s not the end of the world if you feel a bit **** after. Someone told me the flu jab is far worse.
I had Pfizer jab. Didn't feel it and no ill affects. My wife had OxfordAZ and she had headache for about a day and then OK.
I had the AZ jab last weekend, felt nauseous and tired for up to 3 days then fine, are the side effects less for the second jab?
My daughter said your immune system is creating memories so that if you get a bout of covid it recognises it. The second jab is a top up so doesn’t normally effect you the same as the first.
****, wrong again norm.... Some people who have received the COVID-19 vaccination report they feel ill after getting their first shot. Even more say the second shot can be followed by symptoms such as fever, fatigue, headache, and soreness at the injection site on their arm. In most cases, that’s actually a good thing. These common symptoms are typically signs that the vaccine has triggered a response by your immune system. And that’s what it is supposed to do.
Just to add to that bit in case anyone has doubts. What's put is perfectly true, it is a sign the vaccine is working, but having no post vaccine effects is not a sign that it isn't working. The general consensus is that you're just fortunate, and can feel reassured that the vaccine is still working.
