This is already being rolled out. There are large sections of the population who are not having the vaccine. At some point everyone who hasn’t had it when they could, will be contacted again. Doctors surgeries are told who has turned up and it looks like they will send a list to a central point. That’s why the government says that everyone in care homes for the elderly has been cleared to get it and not have received it.
Hopefully it will affect their holidays if they refuse a jab. Even if they have had covid and don't like to talk about it. Has your friend?
It should, depends on where you are going. Why would anyone not want protecting from a deadly disease? Why would anyone not want to protect other people from a deadly disease? Why would anyone not want to protect the NHS from a deadly disease?
I expect the Covid vaccine will become like the flu vaccine and be given every year . It will be tweaked to protect against which ever mutation is prevalent. The vaccine will probably give wider and longer protection than catching the disease but why risk going without it, its free. I expect international travel will be almost impossible without it and rightly so. What are you afraid of?
A few yearscago you would havebbeennholidaying at home. No jabs for yellow fever, malaria and typhoid, which weren't cheap, and you couldn't get 5ravel insurance. No travel insurance and you didn't fly. And that was just for Spain in the early 1970s.
Why do you say that? As far as I'm aware, having the jab doesn't stop you spreading it or even catching it and it leaves you in pretty much the same condition if you've already been infected. There's greater risk in the place you're travelling to, where even the jabbed can bring it back. Basically, if you feel vulnerable, you need to keep yourself away from risk, not expect everyone else to hibernate.
Yawn As I started a thread stating people who have had it are been encouraged to go and give plasma!! which I did Hope this helps
So, you think countries will be allowing everyone in regardless of whether they have had the jab or not? Will the NHS be happy at the thought of being swamped by people contracting it abroad and being more ill on their return than would be the case if people travelling were vaccinated? The matter of vaccinations will affect holidays one way or another whether people like it or not.
