Media reporting a new Tier 5 lockdown is coming UK wide. Wtf is Tier 5???? https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/tier-5-coronavirus-lockdown-cases-19528648
To avoid any confusion and make things more simple we are introducing a 3 tier system, tier 1 will be called medium because that infers the middle, tier 2 we will call high, tier 3 will be very high because we already used high for tier 2. This is before you even think about what is included in each tier. groups of 6 indoors, outdoors or in the pub. two households sometimes but it might be 3. All the traditional shops on the high street, you know the ones that pay rent and rates employing local people will be forced to close, but don't worry the big supermarkets will be open to gain even more market share. Don't worry that only essentials will be available as that was only on the first day to make a news story. I would like to go on but my head is spinning now with the stupidity of it all
RE: Schools School aged children are now the fastest rising groups for new cases according to the ONS. Y7 to Y11 the highest but, surprisingly, three-year-olds to Y6 is now second. Headteachers are to have a conference with the DfE this week regarding a delayed/staggered reopening. Some schools have already informed parents to say they won’t be opening the week of Jan 4th. It seems exam year groups will be back first whilst the others will have some form of online learning. “Blended learning” is becoming the latest buzzword - some days in school and some days online. It’s not clear if this will be a national approach or only those in Tier 4. I think primary schools will open as normal (probably for the childcare) whilst secondary will start the first 3-4 weeks of Jan online except maybe Years 11-13.
Taken from the sun website so could be total BS “Despite no confirmation, many are guessing that Tier 5 could mean a total ban from leaving the house for non-essential reasons.”
At this rate - '? and the Mysterians' may have been early (none religious) prophets of the pandemic...
Any premature death is a very sad event. But just to reiterate that death (from COVID or not) is not the only thing to worry about, some people report being quite poorly, and we don’t know yet what the implication of long COVID is. Hospitalisations are a worry at the moment - full hospitals being bad news for everyone who may need one for any reason. I’ve a feeling that the next few days could be the crisis scenario for the NHS that the government has been worrying about since March.

Can I get the euro millions lotto numbers too please? America wasn’t even called America when he was writing in the 1600s - that must be edited or just plain BS
