When it first came out I was getting pings from cars on the slip road outside my house. Obviously there was teething problems, now that I've had both jabs it's served it's purpose. Obviously I'll exercise caution, but sick to death of it now.
Had a bit of a shock text earlier today. The head gardener, from the Sheikh's place in Surrey, has Covid. The house has been empty for over a year so he's mainly alone. He lives with his 90 year old mum so has had both jabs and takes care when he's shopping, etc. I'd started to relax my regime but I'm now taking no chances.
That's what a lot of people aren't understanding. The vaccine doesn't stop you getting Covid, it reduces the chances or needing critical medical care. In other words you can still get it and spread it and there is still a risk of needing hospitalisation just a lesser risk than those who aren't vaccinated
Aye, they may be symptomless or have less chance of going into hospital and those that do less chance of needing Intensive Care, but10% of those getting covid are coming down with long covid. And each time someone gets covid is another chance for a new variant to evolve.
Loads not wearing face masks etc at Seaham car boot sale i was and will cos this **** will not go away on it's own. And i have had both jabs, luckily this is not as bad as the mid 1980's though.
Immigrant kills one and leaves another seriously injured at a shopping mall in France. Some members of the public chase him down and chin the bastard.
Be prepared to spend the rest of your life in your own little lockdowns then. The virus isn’t going to disappear, and wearing your silly gloves and masks will make no difference to you catching it. And by the way, if you do catch it, the likely hood is you’ll be absolutely fine. Covid isn’t the only disease or cause of death in the world, there’s a lot lot worse out there.
Remaining cautious means keeping businesses shut, and ruining lives. Time to move on, it’s cost us 18 months of our lives, but people like you are still demanding more.
That’s wrong. Chris witty said today that it reduces your chances of catching the virus by over 50%. It also stops you spreading it by over 50%
What did i post that was wrong? 1. It doesn't stop you getting it, check 2. It reduces the chances of getting it or needing critiacl care, check 3. You can still spread it, check
Sounds like it doesn’t stop you getting or spreading the virus, which is exactly correct. No vaccine is 100% effective. The Welsh NHS only say the vaccine reduces your chances of spreading the virus by up to 50%
Fair enough. Your post just came across very negative about the vaccine. Despite the huge numbers in cases recently (mainly in unvaccinated people) only 6 deaths today, compared to 1000s when cases were at similar levels before the vaccine. The facts are it’s working, and working very well.
Far from it mate, i'm very much pro vaccine. My negativity is towards the twats who once vaccinated won't think the rules apply to them anymore
